Make a List!
Since last week, before I even arrived in Florida, I told my mom to make a list of the places she needs directions to, and everywhere she wants me to take her while I'm in town.
This morning I reminded her of the list. Just got it. By far, the absolute best thing on her list , written bigger and more neatly than "best bagels" and "Bath & Body Works" and nestled between the two, is this:

UPDATE: I took her to the damn beach; it's not far at all. It was beautiful, and I will aim to go again to take pictures before I leave.

where in FL are you? If you're in the panhandle, I imagine she's outta luck.
Well, head east or west and eventually you will get there, although I would advice heading east because you will get there faster. West will take about 2 1/2 hours. In fact, try this. Take Hillsboro Blvd East until it ends. You will now be at the beach. It will be a lovely beach with shops and restaurants and a pier.
Isn't it like everywhere?
