Cagney: My New Roommate

My new roommate moved in on Thursday. She is 22, from Oklahoma and her mother came out with her to help her get set up and settled. The mother flew back to OK today.

Cagney keeps her bedroom door closed all the time. This bothers me, and tonight I said something to her about it. I told her I noticed she's been keeping her door closed since she moved in, and I was wondering if she was a closed door person. I then added I hoped it wasn't making her uncomfortable that I leave my door open most of the time. She said she's just getting acclimated. I said okay, and that she should do whatever makes her most comfortable.

So I am going to continue keeping my door open, and hope that she comes around to my way of thinking. To be honest, it makes the apartment look smaller when doors are closed.
