Fighting Back
In the last 12 hours I've gotten over 30 spam comments on my blog. That's why you see so many comments in May that have been deleted. That was spam, being deleted.
I've turned on Word Verification on the comments. I hate it when I come across it on other people's blogs, because I all of a sudden have to actually look at the keyboard to type, which I rarely do. It's even discouraged me from posting comments. Didn't want to use it on my blog, but I feel like I have no other choice if I want to keep the comments open. I hope you won't be like me, and you'll comment despite the word verification.
Oh, and Spammer? You're a fucking loser. I don't have "cool graphics and great pictures" on my site. And no, I don't want a loan.

I had the same thing happen. What a huge pain.
I am often amused by the 'words' that come up though...
Not a problem for me, I like to try and make words out of the random letters and invent meanings if I can.
My theory is always that some crack head trying to justify his job, is responsible for these sorts of things, so they may indeed see "cool graphics and great pictures" I mean, give them the benefit of the doubt!
Also, your last post is making me re evaluate my hatred of BofA which goes back about 35yrs to when I had a checking account and when I went to deposit my paycheck (no cash back) the clerk went away for awhile to make sure I had enough money to cover it!???? I had long hair, I guess I was suspicious.
Ok, so I hold a grudge for awhile. It's more like stimulus response. BofA? HATE'M
Those who truly have something to say will type the letters and not think any less of you for turning it on.
You are one of the last blogs I read that didn't have it enabled. I think it's a smart move.

that sucks yo. once they find you, they dont let you go. such a buzzkill to think you have 6 new comments and i's all spam -- boooooo.
All the offers to increase my bust size have made me feel more accepting of the man boobs that come with getting older.
