Pill Popper
I'm very much a product of the MTV Generation. I like instant gratification. This extends to taking vitamins and supplements. Recently, I had $855 worth of blood work done (thanks to health insurance it only costs me $80), and one of the results was that I am Vitamin D deficient.
My doctor suggested I take a Vitamin D supplement. She said that it may do things that I'll notice, like cause me to gain energy, lose weight, stuff like that. So far I've taken the supplement twice, but I haven't noticed anything. This makes me not want to take it anymore, because I like to see results promptly. Within 25 minutes of taking Advil, a headache will go away. That's what I want with all pill popping I partake in. I am trying to be more patient and accept that I may not notice any difference at all, unless I get my blood work checked again and the numbers change.
*For those wondering, my dentist's sister found a match (who is not me). I have a lot of Big Thoughts about why it was so hard for me to decide, but ultimately, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that the sister get what she needs to live.

* YEA!
+1 to Dentist's sister.
And keep at it. Even though you live in Cali, you're not exactly out sunbathing all the time, or traipsing around in tank tops, is my guess. Lots of people take vitamin d here bc of the long winters. Takes about a week to notice, but then there's a definite boost.
