Sometimes I Feel Stupid

But then I see things like this, and that feeling goes away.

Me too, but then that feeling is replaced by a loss of hope for humanity.

The Book Bitches also posted this. Someone made a comment that occurred to me around the time I hit Publish on my own comment: speaking in public off the cuff can be nerve-wracking, especially when you know your response is going to be televised, viewed by thousands of people, and considered in whether you will be chosen as winner of a pretty big competition.

I hope to God she just freaked out. If that's the case, I know how she feels. I am an expert in opening my mouth with good intentions only to make an ass of myself.

If she has a good attitude, in a couple years she'll be able to laugh at it. "Many U.S. Americans don't have maps... We need to help South Africa and the Iraq." Come on, that's some funny shit.
